Soul Motion: Self-Empowerment
The reminder "we are enough" prevails throughout Soul Motion, and students are invited to sustain this attitude through the choices they make during the dance. In the body choir that is our unified dance, we learn that each has a role to play in the ultimate expression. This role includes reciprocal respect and appreciation for the unique perfection of each person within the diversity of the group, regardless of experience.

2004

These days come with the dark. There is a shadowy presence of emptiness and an atmosphere of being swallowed as I struggle to keep my head/heart looking toward the setting sun. I surrender! I journey with "what is" and I trust there will be a settling and a rise in fortune. Events of late have placed me in a temporary temple of review. "How have I led my life up to this moment?" "Have I been in intergrity with all those who have shown up in the work?" And what of my relations with those who also walk this path of transformational movement practice? What has transpired to create an atmosphere with other leaders that reveal judgment about and separation for this work that moves me? What has been my role? I am being asked to look again within and impeccably view my words, my actions, and my beliefs around transparency and truth telling. The cave of consideration awaits my autumnal arrival. As I searched this morning for change in order to clean again my clothes I came across a rolled up parchment dated 1.29.04 and entitled The Covenenant With the One. Here is some of what was written: I affirm that this moment is filled with plenty and I AM deserving of its riches. I affirm Love Everywhere hidden behind Everything All the time. I vow now that the words of another are spoken as views of their personal expression and their story; I am not obliged to make them a part of my expression and of my story. I affirm my right to receive Love and deserving of the good that is Everywhere present. I know the mystery and the mud of creation are within and fully expressed without. Lucky me to have stumbled across this "loose change".
