Soul Motion: Conscious Dancing
Soul Motion introduces viewpoints and experiences for developing attention to the present moment using body awareness to stay grounded in the movement moment. Noticing ways we escape presence through dreams and desires, Soul Motion, through conscious breath awareness and movement, encourages a continuous awakening to presence.

A reflection on some inner voices concerning dancing with some of my fear:

The end is near: Repent! (Re-focus, re-direct)

The time for getting all sweaty and worked up around the failing and the fading of everyday nuisances and the assorted ways they show up are keeping this dancer on his toes. My calves are killing me!

How tiresome this is getting; holding this emerging self at bay. This paralysis of standing against the wall is creating bloody sores on my backside.

I am growing weary of the same old viewpoint presented from this same spot on the wall.

Risking seems so easy to talk about and then quite something else to put into action.

Looking good is paramount to saving face and saving face is a frozen fact that holds off any personal growth and movement into the unknown.

Where and how will this come to an end?

Will it take some specific action on this dancer’s part?

Perhaps a new routine needs to be learned with steps and shifts of weight that up until now have not been approved of and tried out.

Maybe what’s needed is some new instruction spoken from some new voices, in a new setting.

Here is an open invitation and a few signposts on the road to repent:

Fall to pieces

Be with this splintered self,

Notice what it feels like to scatter.

Shake things up

Rearrange the familiar

Make big mistakes

Dance Ugly and Drool!

See you on the dance floor…vinn
