Soul Motion: Movement Meditation
Soul Motion encourages seeing with the mystic's heart and eyes, a way of penetrating to the invisible core to things; stillness in motion, motion in stillness; the silent song. Using embodied presence and breath awareness to focus attention and hone space, students learn to become increasingly conscious of their whole being, whether in motion or stillness.

photo of butterfly emerging from chrysalis Let's begin again. Let's use this time to reaffirm the ways in which this practice of Soul Motion™ sustains, nourishes, and transforms. Lately, I court the presence of awareness, which is behind and away from the obvious that holds the ground of being. I am looking at the ways in which I decide to embark on situations that have powerful effects and are personal to me. I am revisiting the manner in which I partake in routines I place on myself to get in sync with the everyday dance. Sleepwalking through my days in a daze is not a good return on my energy expenditure!
What are the ways in which I meet the day?
What self-talk enlivens and restores me?
Do the relations and events I attend to offer affirming messages?

I have spent too much time lamenting the past lives I have led. Memories of family, events, and places, which are all gone, on occasion, revisit and attempt a second run as if they were real. These street scenes that I have been privy to can now be put to rest and I wonder how to wander.

I am, today, taking a vow.
I am in this moment offering myself to being happy.
I am vowing to appreciate joy in all the ways it dances.
I recognize awareness of this body as the vehicle for Spirit’s experience in form.
I step back and sit in the seat of this soul in motion and participate in the view of motion and space.
I chose today to be happy, unconditionally.

vinn, in love
