Soul Motion: Self-Empowerment
The reminder "we are enough" prevails throughout Soul Motion, and students are invited to sustain this attitude through the choices they make during the dance. In the body choir that is our unified dance, we learn that each has a role to play in the ultimate expression. This role includes reciprocal respect and appreciation for the unique perfection of each person within the diversity of the group, regardless of experience.

Me, ready to disappear, at last!
Vanish.
Be gone.
Vaporize.
Beam me up.

More certain now that this vaporization is a path and a way toward a direction that is broad and marvelous in the everyday dance drama.

Today in talks with S it became apparent that there are soul aspects of character used to get through the mess and the mystique of an everyday dance drama.

First up is “open wound”, OW, this soul aspect can use a little more time in the scenes of the everyday dance drama. Up until now this shy guy has been in hiding, too vulnerable to venture out and show its’ deep and abiding strength. This aspect of a souls’ motion does understand how to stay available and susceptible to the slings and arrows, real or imagined that come forward. Judgment, criticism, and differences of opinion are all seen as passing loops on a spinning wheel, equally and effortlessly carrying no corners or angles. It is motion directed and continual, moving effortlessly and energizing the grace space that surround us all. Whatever is stated, shouted, or slammed toward OW will loop around to feel the full impact while not having to be compelled to do anything in return. There is no deflection, ducking, or defensive maneuvers for OW. Instead, OW rides the tiger’s back and lets all growls exhibit their fangs of separation while remaining open to any and all wounding.

Next up is “defender”, this particular motion of soul seems always present and poised to jump in and deflect and divert any thing coming its’ way that will challenge the easy poise of going –along- to- get-along. Mister D provides a tight stomach and a narrow vision that creates pains and aches throughout the muscular. I recognize the value and genuine gifts D can bring, after all, there are beings in the everyday dance who sling rocks and stones looking for a knockout because that is what they do, that’s what they enjoy doing, and that’s what they do best. Mister D serves better when it is rooted in compassion and fails miserably all of the time when it is mired in fear and lack. I pray to remember the continuance of divine discernment and omnipresent grace and the usage of appropriate responses to clear and accurate perceptions.  I trust I can continue to remove the moat from my eye and see clearly, now.

Completing this tender triune is “master teacher”, the aspect of soul in motion that gives of itself easily and comfortably. MT respects the other and holds their presence as gift and gratitude. There is no shaky presence here. What does exist is a keen and clean energetic field that invites all points of view while igniting curiosity and awe about whatever is being mentioned or moved through. MT is not troubled by what is said whether in compliment or condemnation. MT takes nothing personally and sees murmurings of the heart as calls for love. MT is committed to viewing the background of any behavior and acknowledges our shared condition, human being.

I am willing to track them more diligently and be able to discern them in the distance before they land close to home.

I am ready to vanish to each of these soul aspects even as I am studying their arrival in my body sense.

I am able to release them in favor of a constant and compassionate presence that does not take stock in defining characters or identifying images.

A presence that is beyond labels and has no desire to scurry for vantage points is the definition of a soul in motion.
