A Soul in Motion…
Hot time summer in the city.
No thing emerges from an empty vessel.
No thing surfaces from a calcifying crust of silent and cavernous habitation.
So, instead, walk.
On the way to no thing there are thousands of steps quietly taken.
Continue to pass the view and hold to the vision that everything and everybody is a player in a celestial orchestra humming a tune of forget-me-nots.
Memory mingles with the moment and tears roll off the cheek in a free fall from the chin as they splatter the sidewalks of unrealized dreams and ambitions.
The steering wheel requires so little sway to change direction.
Discern this truth; that minor movement will generate the greatest distance traveled.
All the people walk their own way.
That way is walked on a path.
That path appears as a result of this walk.
It is never the other way around!
Can I get an amen, somebody?
Can I get verification that this is the way to OZ?
There is surely a wizard operating out of sight, all powerful, all knowing, and beneficent. The wizard is pleased to show me the way.
I make my approach along the yellow brick road with my heart yearning, my mind blank, and my courage suspect.
This heart is craving for the daily reminder that all is well.
This heart is craving to return home to natural surroundings.
This heart is craving to be love.
This heart warms the way for the next movement moment.
No fear. No fear. No fear!
I can choose to be fixed and inert rather than risk love, risk being seen, and risk my “look good” in order to be held.
I can choose to shout out the immensity, the brilliance, and the necessity of every body in the family of things.
This mind scatters and fractures.
This mind fills with useless information.
This mind is always ready to limit and lower expectations of a good life.
This mind is occupied with yesterday’s regrets and tomorrows anticipations.
Between these time frames, I am batted over a net, swatted back, again and again.
I collapse from exhaustion, being slammed, out of the movement moment into mayhem, out of what is present into what is projected.
Eventually diminish the colossal desire to utter distinctive nature at the expense of universal unity.
Eventually rely on the courage to stand with others in solidarity.
Follow the yellow brick road and travel well…………vinn
