This month's entry is a compilation of word dances. Some of these are from personal notes and others' as you will note are from mystics of dance and poetry. Trust you will enjoy these as nuggets of knowings that may provide solace and rescue from the chaos of worldly wildness that often accompany our everyday dance.
POETRY IN MOTION
Avoid filling in blanks until arrival.
Trust Grace.
Good poetry makes the world admit a secret: I am really just a tambourine, grab hold, play me against your warm thigh. Hafiz
Repetitive movements and sound will leave the left-brain quite bored and eventually it will quiet.
Let us view the creative process as a series of continuous breakthroughs.
NO PRAISE! NO BLAME!
Let us avoid getting dragged down in words of analysis and calculation and lose sight of creative continuum and inspiration.
Let us view the dance as a declaration of a personal living truth.
Make the best of this moment. It is NOW that you can clearly see eternity.
Not past. Not future. Eternity.
Less judgment. Less trying. Less improvement. Less regret.
There is no need to imagine before you paint (draw, dance, write, sing). Painting brings forth imagination. Tanahashi
Great dancers are not great because of their technique. They are great because of their passion. Martha Graham
There is only one mistake we can ever make in the dance, and that is not speaking from TRUTH.
stay cool and be well........vinn
