Soul Motion: Movement Ministry
We live our lives in ever widening circles that reach out across the world, says poet Rainer Maria Rilke. Soul Motion uses conscious dance expression to manifest social justice. Students are invited to bring their practice from the dance floor to the everyday dance of family, co-workers, and neighbors. With enhanced perception and understanding of the one dance we practice, we are empowered to create significance in life.

Leadership Certification

As your practice deepens you may feel ready to cultivate and deliver the Soul Motion message of dance artistry, everyday presence, and service in your community.

To those who wish to deepen the work of Soul Motion in their life, in their body, and in their daily spiritual practice, we are happy to offer an opportunity to study in depth with Vinn and his support system during three seven-day intensive residential modules over the course of a year.

Because Soul Motion is both a philosophy of living in the everyday dance and a specific dance practice for the conscious dancer, our Leadership Training includes two tracks:

Soul Motion: Personal and Movement Certification
This course of study is for those who wish to dive deep for the purpose of personal development. The dedicated time and discipline put into this program will enable individuals to use the Soul Motion symbols and language in their own personal development as well as in their current practice as teachers of conscious movement and/or counseling arts. Main requirement is completing all three residential modules of the Leadership Training.

Soul Motion: Teacher Certification
This course of study is for those who wish to pursue certification as a Soul Motion teacher. Upon completion of the second module of the overall training, this group will declare their teaching intention and begin a Practicum phase while simultaneously completing the last of the three residential modules. This phase will include teaching classes in the community they live in and an active mentoring program of feedback and exchange with Vinn or one of his Authorized Teachers of Training. Details will be provided during the Practicum phase.

If you are interested in pursuing this leadership path with us, this would be a good time to intensify your own practice. Please join us for residential workshops here and abroad: at Esalen, Kripalu, Madrona MindBody Institute, on Maui, in India, and in Europe. The next leadership training program will begin in the Fall of 2010, so this will give you enough time to complete your prerequisites and deepen your experience of this growing, evolving body of work known as Soul Motion.
